The cooperation between Wirelane and Paribus offers prospective buyers the opportunity to invest in charging stations for electric vehicles. This allows private investors to contribute to the transport transition. Purchase of tangible assets It is possible to purchase a charging station with two charging points for €17,000 plus VAT. The charging station is then leased for eight years. Buyers receive a fixed monthly rent and an annual variable, performance-based rent. Based on a medium-term calculation scenario, this results in a return of approximately 7.5 percent per year over the term of the lease.
"The mobility transition will only be successful if a sufficiently large charging network is available. Germany is lagging behind in terms of expansion, as it still needs around 900,000 charging points by 2030. This is a major challenge, but also an opportunity to invest private capital at attractive conditions,"
so Thomas Böcher, Managing Director at Paribus and responsible for sales there.
The CEO of Wirelane Constantin Schwaab adds:
"The parallel transport and energy transition is a task of the century. Where government measures have so far fallen short, we are now rolling up our sleeves: Prospective buyers can now invest in the construction of urgently needed charging stations for electric vehicles and thus participate in this growth market. At the same time, we are solving one of the greatest challenges of our time: the development of system-critical infrastructure for the complete electrification of transport."
With this model, Paribus and Wirelane aim to enable prospective buyers to directly participate in the transport transition. The annual variable rent is calculated transparently based on the performance of all Wirelane charging stations. It therefore depends not only on the buyer's individual charging station and its location, but on a Germany-wide network.
