Munich Startup: What does your startup do? What problem do you solve?
Reev: We offer a platform for the networking of charging stations for electric vehicles. Charging processes can be managed, controlled, and billed via this platform. Our software was specifically developed for the needs of semi-public space, companies, residential and commercial properties, or parking garages. A good product solution is particularly required in these application areas.
What makes this unique is its ease of use – a charging station is ready for use within minutes, providing an ideal charging experience for various user groups. We thus offer a unique, comprehensive solution that meets a wide range of requirements and enables the rapid rollout of future-proof charging infrastructure.
Munich Startup: But that's been around for a long time!
Reev: The product solutions available on the market are strongly focused on the public charging sector and are designed to enable energy suppliers and motorists to enter the electromobility and charging business.
Our solution enables every parking space owner to easily set up charging infrastructure, connect it online and thus become an operator themselves.
Reev aims to provide easy access to charging infrastructure
Munich Startup: What is your founding story?
Reev: Reev was founded in 2018, so we're celebrating our sixth anniversary this year. We started with the goal of enabling the transition to e-mobility through easy access to charging infrastructure and ensuring easy charging wherever vehicles are parked or idle for long periods. While we initially provided extensive support with project planning and installation, our focus is now entirely on our software.
In these six years, we have achieved and experienced a lot, grown significantly as a team, and made a name for ourselves in the industry.
Munich Startup: What have been your biggest challenges so far?
Reev: Our biggest challenges include the current shortage of available electric cars, the challenging financing environment, and the task of filling vacancies with outstanding talent.
Munich Startup: Where would you like to be in one year, where in five years?
Reev: In one year, we will play a strong role in the most important European markets. In five years, we want to be in a market consisting of all-electric new vehicle registrations.
