Wanted: The best ideas from the healthcare industry. As part of the Medical Valley Awards, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology together with a top-class jury to search for worthy business ideas in the healthcare industry.

In two consecutive competition rounds, a jury selects the best concepts from across Bavaria for the Medical Valley Award. The winners of these rounds can look forward to receiving pre-seed funding of up to €500,000 for their winning concept. This capital injection is intended to help them prepare their projects for implementation.
Who are you?
We are looking for research groups from the healthcare industry who are aiming to spin off their innovative concept and who belong to one of the following research institutions:
- Universities
- University hospitals
- Universities of applied sciences
- Non-university research institutions, such as Fraunhofer
- Society or Max Planck Society
What do you have to consider?
The following aspects must be met when applying:
- A technically and scientifically particularly sophisticated and innovative product or process idea
- Proof of technological feasibility must not yet have been provided, i.e. the project must involve significant but calculable technical and scientific risks
- An intention to commercialize must be pursued
- The establishment of a company or the commencement of business activities must not yet have taken place (this is only permitted during the funding period)
How can you apply?
Very simple: Fill out the project outline completely and send it by June 30, 2016 by email to the organizers.
And then?
Following the submission of your project outline, an internal review and selection will take place in cooperation with the responsible technology transfer office.
The next steps within the Medical Valley Awards will then be discussed personally with you and your team.
