Predium secures €13 million in Series A

The Munich-based startup Predium develops ESG management solutions for the real estate and finance sectors. The proptech has now raised €13 million in a Series A round. Norrsken VC, the investment fund of Klarna founder Niklas Adalberth, is leading the round, with existing investors UVC Partners, b2venture, and Mutschler Ventures also participating again.

The European Union's Disclosure Regulation requires real estate portfolio owners to disclose information about their ESG practices and risks. Non-ESG-compliant buildings are penalized with a discount. Predium has developed a platform for the decarbonization of real estate. This enables portfolio owners such as banks, insurance companies, investors, housing companies, and property owners to identify ESG risks.

Predium users receive all relevant ESG metrics

Jens Thumm, CEO and co-founder of the Munich Startups, explains:

"With Predium, we offer a solution that combines ESG requirements, such as CSRD reporting, with economic interests. We enable our clients to make meaningful transaction and redevelopment decisions. This allows real estate values to be preserved and even increased. The interest from a large number of international investors confirms that Predium is successfully driving the transformation of the real estate industry."

The young company extracts existing data, such as energy certificates and bills, and automatically enriches missing information using AI, satellite images, and 3D models. Premium users thus receive all relevant ESG metrics, stranding risks, and financial indicators at a glance. The solution is designed to enable property owners, banks, insurance companies, investors, and housing companies to identify ESG risks and prioritize renovation measures based on costs, savings potential, and subsidies. With the newly raised €13 million, the Munich-based startup plans to further develop its software platform and expand into new markets.

“First steps towards internationalization”

According to Predium, the customer portfolio includes companies such as the Deutsche Investment Group, Colliers, Soravia, Baloise and the WBM Wohnungsbaugesellschaft Berlin-Mitte. Alexander Kiltz, Principal at UVC Partners, is convinced of the young company:

"Since our initial investment just over a year ago, Predium has developed very well: Not only has its revenue multiplied, but it has also taken the first steps toward internationalization. Due to a changing market environment, there is a clear and growing demand for a software solution like the one offered by Predium. We are pleased to continue supporting Predium on this journey and to make a significant contribution to this financing round."
