MGH is a holding company of the City of Munich and currently operates nine commercial centers for craft businesses and manufacturing, a technology center for startups, and space for the creative industries in the creative field and creative laboratory.
As part of the Munich Startup Forum (MGH), Munich Startup serves as the official platform for informing, connecting, and promoting technology-oriented and innovative young companies in the Munich startup ecosystem. In addition to editorial work, we are involved in strategic projects, organize the Munich Startup Festival, and represent the Munich startup scene on national and international stages.
This is what we are looking for
As Brand & Communications Manager, you will work at the interface between editorial, strategy, and data analysis and assume responsibility for three key areas:
1. Content & Media Production
- Conception, planning and independent creation of editorial contributions for www.munich-startup.de and the social media channels
- Optionally, further conception, planning and implementation of content formats (e.g. video, audio)
- Research of new developments, trends and information from the startup scene, newsletter creation
- Search engine optimization / SEO-optimized copywriting
2. Data analysis & strategy development
- Concept and implementation of data collection and strategies for successful monitoring
- Analysis of key performance indicators (reach, engagement, user behavior)
- Derivation of strategic measures to further develop our offering
- Identification of new growth opportunities and optimization potential
3. Brand strategy & positioning
- Further development of the Munich Startup brand and its strategic direction in cooperation with the Munich Startup management
- Development and implementation of concepts to strengthen our visibility
- Integration of digital communication with offline formats of the project team
- Development and implementation of guidelines for a consistent and professional brand image
Your profile
- Completed studies in the fields of media, communication, business administration, or a similarly relevant course of study
- Experience in content creation (text, video, image) and digital storytelling
- Understanding of brand strategy and positioning in the digital space
- Analytical thinking skills and confident handling of data
- Initiative, creativity and strategic sense
- Strong networking skills
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in German and English
- Affinity to the startup and innovation scene as well as to deep-tech topics is an advantage
- Experience in integrating online and offline measures is an advantage
