Alpha Prompt: AI brings order to real estate data chaos

The real estate industry is struggling with unstructured and inaccurate building data. Alpha Prompt relies on AI to standardize information and make it immediately usable – without rigid standards or system changes. Founder Sven Bauer explains why this is a game changer for the industry.

Munich Startup: What does Alpha Prompt do? What problem does it solve?

Sven Bauer, CEO Alpha Prompt: Every property is unique and generates enormous amounts of data – from building plans and permits to consumption data and lease agreements to tenant communications. However, the industry struggles with a lack of standards, and even where they exist, companies often make their own adjustments. This results in the data often being incomplete, inaccurate, or difficult to access.

Alpha Prompt automates exactly that: It structures, standardizes, and makes data immediately usable – without changing systems and with the necessary flexibility. This reduces manual work, improves decision-making, and increases efficiency.

Munich Startup: But that's been around for a long time!

Sven Bauer: Of course, there are providers that prepare data according to their predefined standards – but that's precisely the problem. These solutions work with rigid specifications that don't reflect the reality of the real estate industry.

A simple question as an example: How much rental space does a building have? Is there a clear answer to this? No! Depending on the "standard," the rental area varies considerably.

Since this heterogeneity cannot be easily resolved, a solution is needed that adapts rather than imposing rigid standards. This is precisely what AlphaPrompt offers: Our AI combines structuring with flexibility, allowing companies to map their individual requirements – without manual processing.

From student consulting to your own business

Munich Startup: What is your founding story?

Sven Bauer: Nino Paulus, Karl Preuss—both with a real estate background—and I met in student management consulting. Through joint projects, we grew as a team and later founded our own business intelligence consultancy with a focus on real estate companies.

In our projects, we quickly realized that inadequate data quality causes enormous additional work. We saw how much time is wasted on manual corrections, missing standards, and unclear data interpretations.

Instead of simply visualizing data better, we wanted to solve the underlying problem: automatically structuring, validating, and making data usable – without manual work. Generative AI opened up precisely this possibility for us. This is how AlphaPrompt was born.

Munich Startup: What have been your biggest challenges so far?

Sven Bauer: The real estate industry is skeptical of AI—not without reason, as many previous solutions didn't work. Our biggest challenge was (and remains) to raise market awareness of the potential of generative AI and demonstrate its real added value.

Right hand in every decision in real estate companies

Munich Startup: Where would you like to be in one year, where in five years?

Sven Bauer: This year we are launching our seed round to strengthen our team, product, and customer relationships.

In five years, Alpha Prompt will operate at the level of a senior analyst—it will not only prepare and evaluate real estate data, but will also autonomously handle extensive processes. In short: Our AI will be the right hand in every decision and an indispensable tool for real estate companies.

Munich Startup: How have you experienced Munich as a startup location so far?

Sven Bauer: Munich is the ideal location for us—it connects real estate companies, investors, and a strong tech ecosystem. We've particularly benefited from the Werk1 community so far!

Munich Startup: Outsource or do it yourself?

Sven Bauer: Develop core technologies ourselves and rely on strong partners for everything else!
