Munich Startup: What motivated you to start the company?
Simone Sabbione: When I first spoke to my co-founder Benjamin, a gynecologist, about menstrual pain and the limited treatment options, he said, "If men menstruated, there would be a solution long ago."
This sentence not only made me angry, but also motivated me to change something. This is how the idea for MelioOne.

Simone Sabbione: Allow emotions and humor – but don’t force any of it.
Munich Startup: Does this seem like a good time to start a business? Why?
Simone Sabbione: In my opinion, the right time always depends on the project. As Victor Hugo once said, "Nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come."
As for our product, I believe there couldn't be a better moment. The stigma surrounding period pain is increasingly being challenged and broken down—meaning the problem is finally becoming visible, while at the same time, there's still enormous market potential.
Munich Startup: Which technology or industry would you focus on for your next startup?
Simone Sabbione: Since I am still at the beginning of my first founding journey and firmly believe in our idea and the potential of the industry, I wouldn't do anything differently at the moment.

Munich Startup: In your opinion, what could be improved at the Munich startup location?
Simone Sabbione: Discounts or subsidies for co-working spaces would definitely be helpful given current rental prices.
