The Munich-based startup Hive Robotics is pleased to announce that it has raised over two million euros in an oversubscribed pre-seed financing round. The round was led by B2venture, also involved well-known investors such as Firedrop, Pareto, Matthias Hilpert and the Klocke Group. The fresh capital will enable the Startup to expand the team and consistently implement its roadmap.
Integrated robotics for air, land and sea
Hive Robotics is developing a AI-powered platform, which combines robot control, sensor technology, localization, and secure communication into modular units. The goal is seamless collaboration between unmanned systems – from swarms of drones to large ground and water vehicles. Data exchange takes place via distributed sensor fusion and a proprietary onboard AI module.
CEO and co-founder Sebastian Mores explained:
"The next phase of automation will be shaped by the deployment of millions of unmanned systems – on land, at sea, and in the air. The basic technologies have existed for years – but true integration into human environments requires uncompromising safety, robust communications, and global standards. Above all, systems must be able to work together seamlessly. This is precisely where Hive Robotics comes in: We create reliable solutions that connect and control unmanned systems across all domains. This makes teaming and swarming concepts practically feasible. At the same time, we are laying the foundation for industrial-scale production in collaboration with OEM partners. We are delighted to have investors on our side who share our mission: to establish robotics collaboration globally."
Also CTO and co-founder Burak Yuksel emphasizes the potential:
"After many years in aviation, I know that uncoordinated control and communication are key vulnerabilities. We founded Hive Robotics to combine control, perception, and communication on a modular platform. Our technology ranges from lightweight drones to heavy sea and land vehicles and leverages networked sensor data so systems can support each other. This opens up enormous potential at scale."
Hive Robotics sees itself as a key player in future deployment scenarios such as disaster relief, infrastructure monitoring, and space travel. The team is supported by investors who have long-standing ties to the founders and emphasize their expertise in aviation and robotics.
So says Gerrit Jurilj, Partner at B2venture:
"We are delighted to partner with Hive Robotics. We have known the founders for many years and have witnessed firsthand how they have built and led some of the most ambitious aviation programs—with unparalleled expertise in drone hardware and software, secure communications, and autonomous systems. Their integrated approach to command, control, and communication fills a critical gap in the robotics industry and positions Hive Robotics as a key enabler for the next generation of unmanned systems."
