The jury has decided: Five particularly smart startups have won the innovation competition “Trade in Transition” and will be actively supported in the implementation of their business model by UnternehmerTUM and the Rid Foundation supported. Their goal is to enable a competitive future for the retail sector.
These five startups made it:
Suggestio
The Suggestio team, which is also supported by the TechTalents at UnternehmerTUM, offers camera-based software that can directly measure how advertising at the point of sale affects customers and quickly and clearly transmits data that can be used to make concrete statements about customer behavior. This allows employees and management to react quickly and design their point of sale accordingly.
Upstories
With customer churn in the retail sector at a high rate, the startup Upstories has dedicated itself to attracting new, younger customer groups. The team temporarily displays online brands in existing retail stores, thereby increasing their appeal. Customers are made aware of the online brands through advertising on social media channels.
Crämer & Co order processing
Crämer & Co order processing is an IT picking solution. The founders developed the technology to improve and monitor existing workflows and to transform them into an integrated, flexible IT picking system.
fashion boom
With the fashboom shopping app, the local store becomes a showroom: Customers save their favorite products directly to their wish list in the store. The product is displayed in the wish list along with the local shop where they saved it. This way, the retailer and its products are always top of mind and accessible from anywhere. Customers can order the products saved in the wish list directly from the retailer's connected online shop or reserve and purchase them in-store for pickup.
1A Flowers Halbig
1A Blumen Halbig developed a concept for the implementation of Germany's first specialty store for florists. A 900-square-meter store was built with a merchandise and product concept clearly tailored to the industry. Through consistent optimization of purchasing and product presentation, a high margin on the product can be achieved.
Innoactive receives special award for trade in transition
The startup Innoactive aims to reinvent retail in the truest sense of the word: Using augmented reality-based glasses, retailers can virtually set up their stores and visualize any number of products. This allows stores to be designed to save space and boost sales.
