The Munich startup Crafthunt has renamed itself BauGPT. Under the new name, the company aims to combine jobs, recruiting, and AI for the construction industry.
The founders Anna Hocker, Patrick Christ and Jonas Stamm explain the step:
"From now on, the BauGPT brand combines all previous services under one roof – from intelligent recruiting to productivity-enhancing AI solutions."
Crafthunt launched in 2022 with the goal of digitally connecting skilled workers and businesses in the construction and trades sectors. To increase productivity and efficiency in the industry, the team also developed digital tools based on artificial intelligence.
AI with construction intelligence
In 2023, the startup launched the first AI assistant specifically for the construction industry. BauGPT understands technical terminology, is familiar with German regulations, and supports tasks such as site documentation, bid preparation, and recruiting. The platform now has over 70,000 users from the construction and trade sectors.
Hocker commented:
"Artificial intelligence, which creates real added value, is the foundation of our entire product offering. In our recruiting product, for example, we use AI to translate applications into more than 20 languages, for automatic image recognition of resumes, and to optimize the online marketing of open positions."
Stamm adds:
“AI is an essential tool for us to achieve productivity gains in an industry that has long been considered digital laggard was valid.”
For skilled workers, the offering remains unchanged: They can continue to find suitable positions or have them find them via BauGPT Jobs. Companies can choose from BauGPT Recruiting or the enhanced solution BauGPT Pro. The latter is GDPR-compliant, automates processes, and efficiently utilizes internal knowledge, according to the company. The rebranding is a consistent development with the goal of making the construction industry future-proof. With the new brand identity, Crafthunt, aka BauGPT, is positioning itself as a central AI platform for the construction industry.
