Together with Munich Business, Munich Startup is once again organizing a delegation to SXSW 2026 in Austin, Texas. Tech pioneers, creatives, and founders from all over the world will meet there from March 12 to 18. SXSW combines a technology, innovation and creative conference with a festival atmosphere and offers ideal conditions for international networking.
We're looking for Munich-based startups developing innovative technologies or creative solutions. Ideas that fit the themes of the SXSW Conference—such as artificial intelligence, climate, energy, or culture—are particularly sought after. Companies from the cultural and creative industries are also welcome to apply. At least two of the ten startup packages are reserved for them.
SXSW 2026: How you can be there
The startup package includes an Innovation Badge for participation, a travel allowance of up to €1,000, and integration into the Munich delegation program. Applicants should already be generating initial revenue and planning to expand internationally or attract investors. Funding through a startup package is possible a maximum of three times per company.
