New Roots – Start-up program for mothers

Mothers remain significantly underrepresented in the startup landscape. The free New Roots program from Impact Hub Munich addresses this gap by supporting mothers on their path to entrepreneurial independence. The fifth program cycle begins on February 5, 2026. Applications are open until December 1, 2025.

Mothers face particular challenges when pursuing entrepreneurial self-employment, often stemming from multiple forms of discrimination and structural inequalities, such as a greater share of care work, limited risk-taking opportunities, and difficult access to relevant business networks or funding sources. As a result, mothers remain significantly underrepresented in the entrepreneurial landscape. The free New Roots program offered by Impact Hub Munich addresses this issue, empowering mothers to realize their professional potential in a self-directed and empowering way, pursue further education, and create a work environment that aligns with their individual circumstances.

Five months of coaching, community building, and entrepreneurial setup

New Roots supports participants over five months in developing an entrepreneurial setup that fits their own life circumstances. The program aims to break down barriers, reduce starting hurdles, and strengthen the long-term success prospects of the female founders.

The workshops take place mostly in the mornings. Impact Hub instead, to make it easier to combine work with care work.
