Munich Startup has established itself as the leading virtual hub for technology-oriented, innovative startups in Munich and the surrounding area. We distinguish ourselves through our neutral, independent, and transparent presentation of content and stakeholders. The platform increases transparency within the startup scene and fosters networking between founders and potential partners, investors, and mentors. All key stakeholders in the Munich startup scene are involved.
Munich Startup is the overarching ecosystem partner for the startup scene in Munich and the surrounding region. Our tasks include press relations on our portal and project management of numerous large-scale projects with partners from the startup scene, such as universities and colleges, entrepreneurship centers, research institutions, and partners from the business sector, regionally, nationally, and internationally.
This is what we are looking for
We are looking for a multimedia editor (m/f/d) to cover parental leave (limited-term contract until December 31, 2027) for the editorial work and further development of our website. This includes:
- Topic planning, research, editorial support and further development of the website
- Creating multimedia content, for example news, analyses, portraits, interviews, reports
- Managing the newsletter and our social media channels
- Researching new developments, trends and information from the startup scene
- Editing texts
- Development of new topic and format ideas
- SEO-optimized writing
- Independent maintenance and expansion of the Munich Startup network with founders and stakeholders of the ecosystem in Munich and internationally.
- Regular participation in events
Your profile
- Successfully completed university studies and/or journalistic training
- Strong interest in new technologies and innovations
- Independent working style, high level of initiative, flexibility and organizational talent
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in German and English
- Knowledge of moving image production is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel occasionally at home and abroad
- Flexibility in working hours
