Vladislav Šulja has been leading the Munich-based startup since December 2025. FlylaThe booking platform for youth and student flights is thus entering a new growth phase. The company was previously sold successfully. The founding team, consisting of Ben Shaw, Frederic Lapatschek, and Fabian Höhne, is handing over operational management but will remain closely involved in further development.
Flyla was founded in 2017 and has since established itself as a specialized platform for youth and student travel, boasting 75,000 verified users. Over the past two years, the startup has forged partnerships with more than 20 airlines, including major European carriers. The platform brokers last-minute seats and special fares for young travelers, thus combining digitalization with sustainable capacity utilization in air travel.
New managing director with an international focus
With Vladislav Šulja at the helm, Flyla is entering a new chapter. The new CEO aims to expand existing services and accelerate the internationalization of its offerings. The focus will be on further developing the product portfolio and integrating additional features designed to make it easier for students worldwide to access affordable flights.
