Zerophase receives 5.8 million euros

Defencetech startup Zerophase has raised €5.8 million. The funding will accelerate the development of software-defined data links for unmanned defense systems and strengthen teams, partnerships, and new operational profiles.

Zerophase has closed a €5.8 million seed funding round. Blueyard Capital led the round, with several business angels also participating. The company is slated to launch in 2025, among other things, by BlickfeldThe company co-founded by Florian Petit develops a software-based communication system for unmanned defense platforms. The funds are intended to accelerate the development and deployment of adaptive data links that enable secure connectivity in air, land, and sea areas.

Robust connectivity for critical missions

Unmanned defense systems require robust, low-latency communication to transmit video, telemetry, and command data under demanding conditions. Zerophase addresses this need with data links that dynamically adapt to disturbances, interference, and signal attenuation. This ensures mission continuity and guarantees a reliable, uninterrupted connection.

“Communication is the nervous system of defense; it determines the outcome of conflicts. Our goal is to ensure it never fails. With Blueyard’s support, we are building adaptive data links that deliver uncompromising performance and reliability across domains and mission types, laying the foundation for dependable connections for tomorrow’s unmanned systems.”

says Florian Petit, CEO of Zerophase.

The technology is already in widespread use and supports operations in Ukraine. Experts estimate that current electronic warfare systems can cripple unprotected drone communications within seconds. This underscores the importance of secure and adaptable data links.

With the new capital, Zerophase is expanding its engineering and signal processing teams, deepening partnerships in the European defense and aerospace ecosystem, and extending its system to further mission profiles and areas of operation.
