Bodyfast secures strategic investment

Munich-based healthtech company Bodyfast has secured its first strategic investor in Isartal Health Media. The investment from the Wort & Bild publishing group marks the next stage of growth for the intermittent fasting app.

Munich-based startup Bodyfast has secured its first strategic investor. More Isartal Health Media (IHM)The media company, through its investment arm, Wort & Bild Verlagsgruppe, is acquiring an undisclosed stake in the healthtech company Bodyfast. Bodyfast is developing a App for intermittent fasting and healthy eating, and according to its own figures, it has more than 50 million downloads worldwide.

Founded by Patrick Hammer and Matthias Schmeißer, Bodyfast addresses the trending topic of intermittent fasting with a digital, personalized approach. The business model combines digital subscriptions with individual health programs and reaches users in over 150 countries. To date, the company has grown without external investors.

"Bodyfast offers you your own personal coach who helps you lose weight quickly and healthily. You'll see the results in no time," the company's self-description states.

Strategic partnership for further growth

With this investment, the Wort & Bild publishing group is pursuing clear strategic goals. The media company is further positioning itself as a digital health platform provider and focusing on scalable health content in digital products. Bodyfast contributes an established app, high user engagement, and data-driven product development.

Bodyfast also sees the partnership as the start of a new chapter. After more than 50 million downloads without external funding, the company welcomes the development. Healthtech Bodyfast has now gained its first strategic partner. Wort & Bild and Isartal Health Media contribute medical expertise, editorial credibility, and a strong network in the healthcare market. Together, the partners aim to develop Bodyfast into a leading international platform for personalized nutrition and intermittent fasting.
