Spiritory closes new funding round

Munich-based spirits marketplace Spiritory has secured prominent investors for its next growth phase. The funding will support the expansion of the platform and new digital solutions for retailers and distilleries.

The stock market-based Live trading platform Spiritory has successfully raised fresh capital. Among the new investors is comedian Michael Mittermeier, who is participating as part of a group of new and existing investors.

The Startup Spiritory positions itself as an online marketplace for true whisky enthusiasts, collectors, and connoisseurs. The platform enables the quick and secure buying and selling of premium spirits, aiming to make the market more transparent and accessible. Since its founding in 2022, Spiritory has continuously developed and now offers products from retailers and private users in eleven European countries.

Spiritory makes trading as simple as possible: Buyers place bids, and sellers list their items with just a few clicks. If the prices match, a transaction is completed. An expert team verifies every bottle traded. The platform also provides indicators, sales histories, and data points to facilitate decision-making. A portfolio section supports users with statistics and information about their collection or investments.

Growth and new developments

CEO and Founder Janis Wilczura emphasizes the importance of the investor group:

“We are delighted about the new funding round and the trust shown by existing and new investors. Having Michael on board is very special. No one in Germany brings as much passion for whisky as Michael Mittermeier. He is one of the greatest comedians in German history, and with his enthusiasm for whisky and his unique personality, he is the perfect partner for Spiritory’s further expansion and next chapter.”

The financing forms the basis for the expansion of the platform. Spiritory is already working on new solutions, especially on the digitalization of brick-and-mortar retail and on innovative brand and distribution systems for small and medium-sized distilleries and distilleries.
