Volulink: 1st place at the Munich Impact Incubator 2026

The Munich-based startup Volulink secured first place at the Munich Impact Incubator. A total of five impact startups have received funding since October through the program run by the Department of Labor and Economic Development, which provides impact funding of up to €15,000.

The Munich Impact Incubator is a municipal funding program with a clear mission: to provide structured support for impact startups. Building sustainable business models to support. Unlike classic accelerator programs, the format combines social impact with economic scalability – thus setting a strategic focus in the Munich startup ecosystem.

Since the beginning of October 2025, five selected teams have undergone an intensive program of coaching, workshops and co-working in the Munich Urban ColabFinally, they presented their business models to a jury. Based on this decision, the teams could receive impact funding of up to €15,000. The final event was opened by Christian Scharpf, Head of the Department of Labor and Economic Development for the City of Munich.

Volulink impresses with IT expertise for non-profit organizations.

Volulink emerged as the winner of this year's round. The startup brings IT expertise to non-profit organizations. and simultaneously connects IT talent with committed companies. The goal is to strategically deploy digital skills where they create added value for society.

When asked how the team has developed further through the incubator, he says Moritz Hall from Volulink:

"The program helped us to bring together the individual pieces of our startup's puzzle into a coherent overall concept. We now understand much better how our social impact and a viable business model can mutually reinforce each other, and we will continue to pursue this path."

Furthermore, the community was a central element of the program.

"Our highlight was the networking and exchange with like-minded people. Above all, with the other startups, the experts and the great team of the Munich Impact Incubator!"

With its first-place ranking, Volulink underlines the growing importance of technology-driven Impact models in the Munich ecosystem.

In addition to VoluLink, four other teams participated in the current batch:

  • Nexus Politics (2nd place): Digital Democracy Platform for more participation, transparency and accountability – as a response to growing political dissatisfaction.
  • Loneliless (3rd place): B2B Toolbox for the prevention, raising awareness and destigmatization of loneliness among young people.
  • Medifix: Transforms medication from a manual task into a secure, digital process.
  • Bloom: Organize private cooking evenings to reduce loneliness through genuine encounters with strangers.

Thematically, this year's cohort covers key societal challenges – from digitalization in healthcare to political participation and the fight against loneliness.

Conclusion and Outlook

With Volulink's victory and the funding of a total of five impact startups, the Munich Impact Incubator is sending a clear signal for impact-oriented entrepreneurship in Munich. The program demonstrates how municipal funding, infrastructure, and networks can be strategically deployed to make social innovations economically viable – thereby sustainably strengthening the impact ecosystem in the city.
