Under the patronage of Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs Ilse Aigner, Google has opened a training center in Munich for its initiative “Growing Worldwide“ opened.
The project was launched in 2014. Course topics range from online marketing and social media to search engine optimization. Within six weeks, Google aims to provide 2,500 participants from Munich-based companies with free training on digital topics and its own products..
After online training: Google offers physical courses
Since the launch of "Growing Worldwide," more than two million visitors have accessed the initiative's website for information and furthered their education through online courses. With the launch of the training centers, the online platform in Bavaria is now being expanded to include physical training.
“Every company needs a digital strategy”
Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Ilse Aigner, is convinced of the offer:
"Every company needs a digital strategy. The 'Growing Worldwide' initiative, supported by several partners from business and science, is aimed primarily at small and medium-sized enterprises. In this way, we are making medium-sized businesses fit for the digital future. With the training center and the already new development center opened in April Google is clearly committed to Bavaria as a high-tech location.”
