In order to promote expanding startups and give them important impulses for their successful development, the STEP Award launched.
Startups can apply until July 15 and secure a chance to win €100,000 in prize money. They also have access to a network of over 1,000 companies. The STEP Award prize and network are intended to pave the way for applicants to the decisive "STEP."
Industry focus expanded to include technology and ICT
Initially launched as a competition with a focus on science, the focus has been broadened this year — growth companies with promising innovative products and services from the technology and ICT sectors can now also participate.
In addition, a “Special Sustainability Prize” will be awarded in the area of energy and resource efficiency.
Who can apply for the STEP Award?
You are an innovative and fast-growing young company in the sectors…
- Science (Chemistry, Pharmaceuticals, Life Science, Bio- and Nanotechnology, Materials Science),
- technology (Clean and Greentech, Medical Technology, Hightech, Fintech, Insurtech) or
- ICT (Production of goods and services)
- and primarily in B2B business employed?
