Leegle brings Christian Lindner on board

Munich-based startup Leegle has secured Christian Lindner as an angel investor and member of its advisory board. The company develops an AI platform for regulatory requirements and, according to its own statements, has eight corporate clients.

Munich-based startup Leegle has expanded its advisory board with the addition of Christian Lindner. According to the company, the former German Finance Minister is also participating as an angel investor. The startup has not disclosed the amount of the investment. Leegle is developing an AI platform that analyzes regulatory requirements for businesses and translates them into concrete tasks.

Leegle's investment is a high-profile one. According to the company, this is one of Lindner's first startup investments since leaving office.

The platform aims to help companies identify and implement legal requirements more quickly. According to the Munich-based startup, the software automatically checks which laws apply to individual products, derives requirements from them, and refers to the respective legal basis.

Furthermore, according to the company, Leegle monitors more than 200,000 sets of regulations and WTO trade advisories from over 160 countries daily. The aim is to identify regulatory changes early and enable affected companies to act more quickly.

Leegle distinguishes itself from general AI applications as follows: According to its own description, the platform not only summarizes legal texts, but also works according to legal methodology and translates requirements into operational processes.

Eight customers, expansion planned

According to the company, eight corporate clients currently use the platform, including Sennheiser, OBI, and Coherent. These companies sell products both within and outside the European Union and must comply with various regulations regarding labeling, materials, and safety.

Leegle cites the company Reer as another example. There, the platform helped to secure regulatory knowledge within the company.
