What sets Mobility Signage apart from many other startups in the mobility sector is its focus on the invisible yet critical infrastructure behind passenger information. Rather than creating new standalone solutions, the company is building an integration layer that connects and standardizes existing systems.

Transport operators have faced a structural challenge for years. Increasingly, grown IT landscapes with incompatible interfaces are colliding with rising demands for real-time data and user experience. This is exactly where Mobility Signage comes in with a central data and integration platform that structures data flows and synchronizes them across all channels.

Unified real-time information across all channels

At the core of the solution is a data hub that brings together different systems and creates a consistent data foundation. This is complemented by an application layer that addresses specific use cases.

The platform enables not only the unification of heterogeneous interfaces but also consistent real-time information for displays, apps, and announcements, integration of existing systems without costly replacement, and automation of processes such as construction site management and incident reporting.

“Transport operators don’t need more isolated solutions, but a connecting system logic,”

says co-founder Stefan Rademacher and adds:

“We’re replacing the patchwork of isolated solutions with an integrated, scalable platform.”

Strong traction with leading transport operators

Both smaller transport operators and some of Germany’s largest operators are already using the platform, including Berlin’s Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), Stuttgart’s Straßenbahnen (SSB), Deutsche Bahn, and Rostock’s Straßenbahn (RSAG).

The range of customers—from regional to national operators—demonstrates that the solution works across different operational scales. Additionally, the startup is working with hardware manufacturers as development partners, which underscores the integration capability of the platform.

Growing market for intelligent transport systems

Mobility Signage is addressing a market with significant growth potential. The global ITS market is estimated at around 56.5 billion euros (66 billion US dollars). In Europe, several billion euros alone are accounted for by bus and streetcar systems.

Drivers of this development include rising passenger numbers, increasing skilled labor shortages at transport operators, growing pressure for digitalization, and rising demands for reliable real-time communication.

HTGF investor Tizian Hoppen sees a clear fit here:

“Public transport operators are struggling with skilled labor shortages, outdated IT systems, and rising passenger numbers. Mobility Signage addresses these exact pain points with a modular, AI-native solution”
