The Bayern innovation prize is a joint initiative of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, the chambers of commerce and industry in Bavaria (IHK), and the association of Bavarian chambers of crafts. The award has been presented biennially since 2012 in recognition of outstanding innovative achievements. This year, Curevision secured one of the main prizes with its analysis of chronic wounds using artificial intelligence.
The young company impressed the jury with its vision of better care for patients with chronic wounds. Curevision’s award-winning technology enables doctors and nurses to perform precise, non-contact wound analysis in seconds. Using special sensors and adjustable lighting, the system provides detailed insights into the wound healing process.

With this, the startup addresses not only a medical problem but also contributes to tackling the shortage of skilled professionals in nursing care. The technology is designed to enable care workers to save up to 90 percent of the time they spend on wound analysis. This leaves them more capacity for direct patient care.
The Bavarian innovation prize underscores Curevision’s potential to sustainably improve wound care and advance digitalization in the healthcare sector. The next competition is expected to start in early 2026.
