The financing round for Audavis is led by High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) as lead investor. In addition to business angel and unicorn investor Martin Ostermayer, private investors from the Baystartup investor network are also participating. The capital injection enables Audavis to further develop the “Artificial Auditor” platform and expand into the German-speaking market.
Audavis offers an AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) solution and uses state-of-the-art cloud architectures and artificial intelligence to provide complete transparency over financial transactions. The platform enables auditors, reviewers, and CFOs to identify risks and anomalies in financial data early and thus better meet regulatory requirements. The “Artificial Auditor” functions as an AI co-pilot that provides professional support to auditors and increases audit depth down to individual transactions.
Benjamin Aunkofer, Chief AI Officer and Co-Founder of Audavis, says:
“Our AI system is based on multiple layers and is implemented using state-of-the-art distributed computing with federated deep learning. This makes Audavis a true AI startup that delivers real economic value and, thanks to the efficiency gains in auditing, also business value.”
And Johannes Dierkes, Investment Manager at HTGF, says:
“Audavis has great potential to become the industry standard and must-have tool for auditing through AI. We are delighted with such exciting deals from Baystartup’s strong network.”
Behind Audavis are three experienced founders with deep industry expertise: Philipp Roebruck (CEO) is an auditor and was the operational head of a nationwide central team for data analysis at one of the so-called Big Four firms. Otrek Wilke brings extensive experience in cloud architectures, data engineering, and cloud security as CTO. Benjamin Aunkofer is responsible for all AI features as Chief AI Officer and is an expert in AI systems – with many years of experience in data analysis for annual financial statement audits at various major audit firms.
Audavis is ready for market entry
With the seed financing, Audavis will bring the first version of its cloud and AI platform to market. Despite its early development stage, the startup has already secured letters of intent and preliminary contracts worth six-figure annual revenue. Furthermore, the young company is cooperating with important associations in the fields of auditing, review, and financial data transparency. Last year, the startup won third place in the Munich Business Plan Competition 2024.
