Munich-based startup Wirelane is acquiring charging infrastructure operator Ladegrün. This brings together two strong players in electromobility, both committed to sustainability. Wirelane brings its WirelaneOS platform expertise in planning, installation, and operation of charging solutions for municipalities, businesses, and the hospitality sector. Founded in 2020 by energy pioneers including EWS Schönau, Green Planet Energy, naturstrom, the Inselwerke, and GLS Bank, Ladegrün stands for 100 percent green electricity and a firm rejection of coal and nuclear power.
Wirelane CEO Constantin Schwaab emphasizes:
“With Ladegrün at our side, we strengthen our shared goal of making sustainable and customer-friendly e-mobility available to all social groups. The uncompromising focus on genuine green electricity and flexible business models perfectly complements our offering.”
“We are convinced that true sustainability begins in everyday life – where people shop, work, and live. With Wirelane at our side, we can translate this conviction into even more concrete charging locations. Because green mobility requires not just technology, but commitment – and that’s what we’re bringing to the road together,”
says Jan-Philip von Gottberg, managing director of Ladegrün.
Benefits for customers
Existing Ladegrün customers now have access to additional services such as digital billing, improved maintenance, and operations management via WirelaneOS. The integration of systems will take place gradually, with all existing contracts remaining in place.
Wirelane has been on the market since 2016 and is among the leading operators of public AC charging points in Germany. The company already works with renowned hotel groups such as Motel One and Leonardo Hotels. Through the acquisition of Ladegrün, an offering is created spanning from planning through installation to operations. Together, they provide comprehensive, climate-friendly charging infrastructure from a single source.
