Quantum Systems announces one of the most remarkable funding rounds of the year: the company has tripled its valuation and secured a total of 340 million euros in fresh capital. 180 million euros come from a Series C extension led by Balderton Capital, following 160 million euros that already flowed in May. This brings the valuation to over three billion euros.

With the capital, Quantum Systems is advancing its expansion into air, land, and water applications. The team develops AI, software, and hardware solutions that are linked together via a multi-domain mission software. The company is thus growing in a market that is gaining importance due to geopolitical tensions and changing security priorities.

Technology expansion and new acquisitions

Following the first Series C tranche, Quantum Systems has completed acquisitions such as Airrobot, Nordic Unmanned, and Spleenlab. The new capital is intended to enable further strategic acquisitions that strengthen the multi-domain offering. Co-CEOs Florian Seibel and Sven Kruck emphasize how crucial these steps are for the international positioning of the Munich startup.

Seibel says:

“The triple unicorn status is proof of our team’s ability to build systems and a company that function under the most demanding conditions. We will now accelerate our development of hardware, software, and AI to become the market leader in unmanned systems across all dimensions.”

Kruck adds:

“We are building the powerhouse for intelligent unmanned systems. Quantum Systems will accelerate its global growth to support Europe, NATO, and its allies.”

Investors also see the company as a central building block for European technological sovereignty. Rana Yared from Balderton Capital says:

“We partner with Quantum Systems to support the company in delivering on its promise of European sovereignty in defense and dual-use technology. Given increasing geopolitical instability and shifting security priorities, the need for domestic, trustworthy European innovation is greater than ever. The Quantum Systems team combines technical excellence with operational discipline and has proven the ambition required to be a global leader in this field. We are proud to stand by Quantum Systems as it enters its next phase of growth.”

Quantum Systems’s systems are deployed by NATO forces in Europe, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and particularly in Ukraine. Since the full-scale invasion began in 2022, a large fleet of the company’s aircraft has been operating there. With up to 1,000 employees at locations including Germany, Ukraine, the United States, Australia, Romania, the United Kingdom, and the Baltic states, the company is pursuing strong global growth in hardware, software, and AI.
