Munich Startup has established itself as the first virtual point of contact for technology-oriented, innovative startups in Munich and the surrounding region. We are distinguished by neutral, independent and transparent presentation of content and actors. The platform increases transparency within the startup scene and promotes networking between founders and potential partners, investors and mentors. All important stakeholders of the Munich scene participate in this.
Munich Startup is the overarching ecosystem partner of the startup scene in Munich and the region. Our tasks include press work on our portal as well as project management of numerous overarching projects with partners from the startup scene such as universities and colleges, entrepreneurship centers, research institutions as well as partners from industry, regionally, nationally and internationally.
What we’re looking for
For editing and further development of the website, we are looking for a multimedia editor (m/f/d) as a parental leave substitute (fixed-term until December 31, 2027). This includes:
- Topic planning, research, editorial support and further development of the website
- Creating multimedia content such as news, analyses, profiles, interviews, and reports
- Managing the newsletter and our social media channels
- Researching new developments, trends and information from the startup scene
- Editing texts
- Developing new topic and format ideas
- SEO-optimized writing
- Independent management and expansion of Munich Startup’s network with founders and ecosystem stakeholders in Munich and internationally
- Regular participation in events
Your profile
- Successfully completed university degree and/or journalism training
- Strong interest in new technologies and innovations
- Independent working style, great initiative, flexibility and organizational talent
- Excellent communication skills in writing and speech in German and English
- Knowledge of video production is an advantage
- Willingness to travel occasionally domestically and abroad
- Flexibility in working hours
