Working for the intelligent forklift
The Jungheinrich AG is one of the three largest suppliers of industrial trucks, warehouse, and material flow technology worldwide. Since 1953, the Hamburg-based company has been offering products and services related to forklifts. Based in Upper Bavaria, Jungheinrich specializes in the manufacture of narrow-aisle and counterbalance forklift trucks.
The Logistics Systems division, based in Moosburg, develops innovative intralogistics solutions that organize the flow of materials and goods within a company's premises and are tailored to the customer's needs. For example, Jungheinrich customers can use the new "Logistics Interface" IT system to connect their inventory management systems with their forklifts via Wi-Fi. The Moosburg plant also boasts innovations in its core forklift business: The most recent example is a completely newly developed narrow-aisle truck equipped with innovative motor technology. This, coupled with state-of-the-art control technology and a special energy management system, ensures that the truck can operate for two full shifts without a battery change.
