Munich startups: Pitch for the Munich Startup Award

Oktoberfest is approaching, and with it, this year's Bits & Pretzels. In addition to top-notch speakers, exciting keynotes, and panel discussions, startups will once again have the opportunity to pitch live on stage. A special highlight this year: Mayor Josef Schmid will present the Munich Startup Award for the first time.

Are you a Munich startup? Then you should apply now for the Startup Pitch at the Bits & Pretzels Founders Festival. As local heroes, you automatically also go for the   Munich Startup Award The special prize is endowed with 5,000 euros.

Apply, pitch, win!

Here's how to get involved: Apply for the pitch competition by August 20th at the latest. All selected startups will then compete against each other in pitch sessions during the Founders Festival. Pitches will be held in the following six topic clusters: Sophisticated IoT, Fast Mobility, Big Money, Future Commerce, Smart Company, and Hot Lifestyle.

The winner will be chosen by a select jury in the grand finale at the end of the second day of the event. The jury includes Bits & Pretzels co-organizer Felix Haas. The decisive criteria—in addition to the actual presentation—are team, market, scalability, business model, technology, and KPIs.

The Munich startup that performs best in the startup pitch will be honored by Mayor Josef Schmid with the Munich Startup Award and receive €5,000. Additionally, there's the chance to win the main prize: A visit to Virgin founder Sir Richard Branson's dream island Necker Island.
