Curevision’s AI solution supports the previously manual measurement and analysis of wounds during wound care. Isabella Erb-Herrmann, board member of AOK Hessen, comments on the award:

“The quality of care will truly be revolutionized by this solution.”

Richard Fobo, co-founder and CEO of Curevision, says:

“We see this as confirmation of our work and as an incentive. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for people with chronic wounds and provide them with better care. This award gives us additional drive to continue our work and further develop our solution.”

Curevision: AI-powered wound analysis and documentation

The startup’s solution consists of disinfectable hardware with software and interfaces. It is suitable for 3D wound analysis and documentation. The length, width, and area of the wound are measured, and the wound depth is automatically detected using artificial intelligence. The AI also recognizes granulation, fibrin, and necrosis. Photo documentation is also included in the automatically generated wound report. This relieves the burden on nursing staff and gives them more time to work with and care for patients.

The Digital Health Award is presented by Novartis Germany. First place went to Gerontonet from Leipzig. Third place and the audience award went to Generation Reach from Berlin. A total of 80 startups applied for the award.
