Sporty: The Munich startup evaluate secures a major seed financing and continues to build the coach of the future. The investor base includes, among others, High-Tech Founders Fund.
With intelligent training software, the young company aims to offer athletes the opportunity to train even more professionally. The startup's first product – evalu.run – is a sensor-based running coach app that provides tips on running technique directly while running – just like a good coach would.

However, good coaches are far too rare, or even not available to everyone. Therefore, since the beginning of 2015, the evalu team, consisting of engineers, athletes, and coaches, has been developing artificial intelligence that can track, evaluate, and support every athlete. To enable athlete tracking, the startup uses ergonomic high-performance sensor technology.
The formerly Exist-funded startup is part of the TechFounders Accelerators and works with the European Space Agency (ESA BIC) in tracking the athlete. The fresh seed funding enables the startup to continue building the coach of the future and, ideally, further expand its product portfolio.
