Seed capital for everskill

The Munich-based startup everskill focuses on effective training. With its innovative approach to sustainably increasing the training success of employees, it has also been able to UnternehmerTUM Venture Capital Partners and convinced several renowned business angels. The startup thus secured a high six-figure sum for its market entry.

In its application, everskill focuses on one of the central problems of the learning and professional development market: the low conversion of training content into the daily work of the training participants. Newly learned content is generally not applied sufficiently in daily work. Scientific studies on this topic estimate the effectiveness of traditional training at only 6-10%.

Efficiency increased by 60%

This is where the Munich-based startup comes in: The company helps employees translate training content into actual everyday behaviors and motivates them to apply and practice these in daily routines.

“In our first customer projects, we were able to increase the efficiency of the training to up to 60 %,”

so Daniel Schmelzer, founder of everskill.

The everskill founding team already has extensive experience in the field of training. Daniel Schmelzer spent the past six years as a consultant in the field of learning and continuing education at the Boston Consulting Group. He also extensively explored the topic of behavioral adaptation as part of his dissertation.

Benjamin Schneck has spent the last six years at the management consultancy AT Kearney, primarily focusing on growth strategies, and worked as a startup coach for two years while completing his doctorate.

Further training of employees = maintaining competitiveness

Investors are also certain that the efficiency of conventional training will be significantly increased by the software offering. Andreas Unseld, Investment Manager of UnternehmerTUM Venture Capital Partners, says:

"In today's market environment, continuous employee training is one of the key challenges for maintaining a company's competitiveness and innovative strength. The system's ease of use and effectiveness for customers immediately convinced us."

The successful seed financing will not only add important skills to the team, but also further expand the sales structure. Sales potential is there, given that the learning and continuing education market in Germany alone is worth 30-35 billion euros.
