HOCHSPRUNG Award 2016: Apply now!

Following the successful first round in 2015, HOCHSPRUNG is once again honoring concepts that promote start-up momentum and entrepreneurship culture at universities in Bavaria. The HOCHSPRUNG Award is endowed with a total of €5,000 in prize money. The application deadline is October 13, 2016.

The competition is aimed at members of all universities in Bavaria who raise awareness, motivate, and support researchers or students on the topic of entrepreneurship. Both existing and future concepts – for example, for (teaching) events, training modules, seminars, exchange platforms, or competitions – can be submitted. The focus is particularly on creative, practice-oriented ideas that are implemented with a high level of personal commitment by the participants. The ideas should become visible within the framework of the competition and be transferable to other universities as best practice examples.

Participants

Institutions and individuals from all public and private universities in Bavaria, e.g. technology transfer offices, start-up consultants, student initiatives, but also university members who are not directly involved in the field of entrepreneurship are allowed to participate in the competition.
Multiple submissions per university are permitted. Each team or individual may only participate in the competition with one concept.

The concept sketch including implementation plan must be submitted by October 13, 2016 by email to award@hoch-sprung.de No funding (e.g. EXIST, ERDF) may have been applied for or approved for the concept.

Evaluation

The evaluation is carried out by an independent jury of experts from the field of entrepreneurship. The decisive criteria for the award are originality, degree of innovation, as well as the feasibility and transferability of the idea.

Awards

The HOCHSPRUNG Award will be presented on November 16, 2016 awarded as part of the University Founders’ Day at the OTH Regensburg.

The three best-rated concepts will receive prize money to implement their idea in the amount of:

  • 1st place: 2,500 euros
  • 2nd place: 1,500 euros
  • 3rd place: 1,000 euros
