The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) supports innovative and young founders from the information and communication technology (ICT) sector with the “Founder competition – IKT Innovative“ for the tenth time.
May 31, 2015, is the deadline for prospective founders and young startups to submit their ideas. Up to six young companies can receive seed capital of €30,000 in this competition. In addition, the expert jury will award up to 15 additional prizes, each worth €6,000.
Advice included
In addition to the financial support provided by the start-up grant, the winners also benefit from startup experts: Each award winner receives individual coaching and is allowed to participate in workshops and seminars. Even those participants who don't make it to the winners' podium benefit. The jury evaluates each idea sketch and business idea based on its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and risks.
Who can apply?
The "Start-up Competition – ICT Innovative" is aimed at start-ups whose products are based on information and communication technologies. The company must have been founded no more than four months ago at the time of application, and a conceptual outline must be submitted. The BMWi, supported by an independent jury of experts from business and academia, will decide on the potential of the idea and award the prizes.
