FOODSTARTUPTABLE: Innovative food projects sought

How does something new come into the world? In the food sector, it's usually the buyers of retail companies who decide which new products to add to their product range. With the FOODSTARTUPTABLE campaign from StartinFOOD, customers can now decide for themselves which products they want to find on their shelves in the future.

Here's how it works: Food startup consultant StartinFOOD is launching a collaboration with Feinkost Käfer in Munich in November. Käfer is providing an exclusive space in its Schwabing store where a newcomer from the food and beverage industry can present themselves each month: the Foodstartup Table.

Slow-seller or best-seller?

Whether these four weeks lead Käfer to decide to list the new product depends entirely on the customer: If the new provider's products remain a slow seller, another startup will have the opportunity to be listed the following month. If, however, the new offering finds enough buyers at Käfer, it will initially be given a six-month trial period to secure a permanent place in the product range.

According to StartinFOOD, FOODSTARTUPTABLE is the offline Variante of modern crowdfunding: Only those who find enough supporters prove that they have a chance on the market in the long term.

Michael Ostermair from StartinFOOD:

"We bring food startups and customers together in retail. Through FOODSTARTUPTABLE, innovative food projects receive the attention they need to stand out on the shelves and convince shoppers."

FOODSTARTUPTABLE is a new offering for innovative founders in the food and beverage sector. Michael Ostermair is a food startup founder and sales professional in the food sector and recently joined the StartinFOOD team.

“Now is a good time for food companies to launch a crowdfunding campaign.”
