The occasion was the Satellite Masters Conference, where the launch of the new crowdinvesting platform SpaceStarters was presented to a select audience from the aerospace industry.
The Satellite Masters Conference, hosted by AZO for the third time, took place this year at the "Circulo de Bellas Artes" in the Spanish capital. The event connects thought leaders of the so-called New Space Economy, including representatives from leading institutions, CEOs of industry giants such as Airbus, as well as numerous founders of innovative startups and investors.
Private investors can invest directly
The main goal of the event was to discuss how synergies between research, industry, EU space programs, and investors can be better utilized in the future to further advance innovation and start-ups in the high-tech sector. AZO has been presenting itself as a facilitator and incubator for years with the industry's two leading innovation networks, ESNC (European Satellite Navigation Competition) and the Copernicus Masters.
Focus on aerospace
FunderNation is now making a promising contribution to this by launching SpaceStarters announced – a crowd investing platform focused exclusively on the aerospace sector. SpaceStarters enables private investors to invest directly and professionally in established and young companies in this future-oriented industry.
Similar to FunderNation, the crowd can better assess their risk and return opportunities with the help of five categories and three different investment profiles. The categories all have a space-specific background and range from satellite-based products to technology developments for the International Space Station (ISS) to mineral mining on asteroids.
