Munich Airport relies on NavVis

The Munich startup NavVis has a new exciting assignment: The Munich Airport relies on the technology of the young high-tech company to digitally capture the buildings and provide virtual interior views. The result is mapping and navigation within the interiors with centimeter-precise accuracy.

Virtual walk

Airport employees are currently mapping the halls using the NavVis trolley. Laser scanners and high-resolution 360-degree photography are creating a precise image of the surroundings. Visitors to Munich Airport will soon be able to take a virtual tour and explore, for example, shops and restaurants.

NavVis is a spin-off of the Technical University of Munich, with which the airport innovation management works together.
