EIT Digital Challenge: Award for ProGlove

ProGlove has been recognized as one of the most innovative companies in the European digital industry at the EIT Digital Challenge. The awards ceremony took place at the Slush conference in Helsinki on November 30. ProGlove competed in the Digital Industry category.

The team has developed an intelligent industrial glove that automatically records and controls work processes through built-in electronics. With the help of sensors, the glove can detect, for example, if an incorrect component is used in production. The worker receives immediate feedback via a visual, acoustic, and haptic signal. The first ProGlove product, called "Mark" can thus have a direct positive influence on the production and logistics processes of companies.

Enormous time savings without integration effort

"We are very pleased to have received so much recognition across Europe through the EIT Digital Challenge. Our first product, "Mark," is already in use in industry, including at AUDI, John Deere, BMW, and Penny. Together, we are ensuring significant efficiency gains for our customers. We can save 2,000 minutes per day in a warehouse—immediately, without any integration effort."

says Thomas Kirchner, CEO of ProGlove. The design of the smart glove "Mark" consists of a central computer unit and a work glove with integrated electronics that can be replaced when worn.

"We congratulate ProGlove and are delighted that the Munich-based company was able to prevail so outstandingly against strong competition across Europe. The EIT Digital Challenge has attracted attention in the startup scene in 25 EU countries, from which we received over 230 excellent applications,"

explained Dominik Krabbe, Head of the EIT Digital Challenge. By winning the EIT Digital Challenge award in the Digital Industry category, ProGlove has the opportunity to join the European innovation network EIT Digital and receive support for its international growth. In mid-December, ProGlove will participate in a two-day workshop and networking event in Berlin, where they will meet the international EIT Digital network.
