The Munich startup adnymics has secured a mid-seven-figure investment as part of a Series A round. In addition to existing investor Bayern Kapital and previously participating business angels, TAKKT Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH and Rising Generation Development GmbH are joining the startup.
Adnymics enables the targeting commonly used in online advertising to be used for print inserts. Under the product name "Target Packaging," the Munich-based company offers a fully automated advertising material production system for online retailers. The system collects data on customer behavior in the online shop. Based on this data, adnymics produces a customized, multi-page brochure that is enclosed with the customer's order. The advertising material is then automatically printed on-site in the online retailer's logistics center. With the product "Target Conversion," the startup provides external advertisers with advertising space in its inserts.
Compared to the previous year, adnymics says it has increased its revenue almost tenfold. The startup now employs more than 20 people in Munich and Berlin.
“Adnymics is developing very well”
Dominik Romer, CEO of adnymics GmbH, explains that his startup wants to use the fresh money to drive its internationalization, expand the team and invest in the development of its products.
Wolfgang Dengler, Senior Investment Manager at Bayern Kapital, is convinced of the investment:
"Adnymics has developed very positively since our initial investment. The technology is stable and productively used by customers, and customer benefits have been proven across all industries. From our perspective, the intended internationalization makes perfect sense, as we assume that the business model will work just as well in other countries."
Francis Josten, Director Corporate Development at new investor TAKKT AG, says:
“We firmly believe in the promising market for personalized customer communication, and adnymics offers a very attractive solution through intelligent printing.”
Robin Huesmann, Managing Director of Rising Generation Development GmbH, emphasizes the advantages of printed advertising:
“No other push medium still generates a comparable impact — especially when addressing recipients intelligently.”
