Superfood versus Zero Hunger: Global Entrepreneurship Summer School 2017

ZeroHunger versus Superfood – in Western countries, nutritional trends are surging, while at the same time, people everywhere still suffer from hunger and malnutrition. To counter these problems with entrepreneurial solutions, this year's Global Entrepreneurship Summer School (GESS) around the topic of “food”.

The one-week program is aimed at students. Those interested in entrepreneurship can develop their own ideas for a world without hunger and food waste in an inspiring environment. You can apply for exactly one month until April 17th for the Global Entrepreneurship Summer School in Munich, Mexico City or Shanghai.

Solve global food challenges in 7 days

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), nearly 800 million people currently suffer from hunger. At the same time, the amount of food wasted worldwide is estimated at 1.3 billion tons—enough to feed three billion people. Isn't there a solution?

Therefore, the joint initiative of the Social Entrepreneurship Akademie and six universities from Munich, Shanghai, and Mexico City are bringing together top students from around the world to develop innovative solutions to one of the world's greatest challenges. Over the course of seven days, the approximately 100 students are developing scalable and sustainable business models that have the potential to change the world.
