Shell and Daimler invest in same-day delivery startup tiramizoo

Shell invests in Munich-based logistics startup through its VC company Shell Technology Ventures (STV) tiramizoo Daimler is involved as a co-investor. Existing investors DPD Deutschland, Bayerische Beteiligungsgesellschaft, and Bayern Kapital retain their shares in the company. No details about the investment amount are known.

The Munich startup tiramizoo offers fast delivery services in urban areas. Founded in 2010, the company offers services such as same-day delivery to Media Markt customers and the collection of returns from Zalando customers. The company also offers its self-developed software as a SaaS.

Tiramizoo plans expansion to Asia

Michael Löhr, founder and managing director of tiramizoo, says:

“With Shell, a global leader in energy, we have gained a strong partner for mobility and logistics services.”

Following the investment, the startup plans to expand into the Asia-Pacific region. Thomas Bluth, also Managing Director, adds:

“With this investment, we can rapidly develop our technology and operational processes.”

Roger Hunter, General Manager for Digital Businesses at Shell New Energies, says:

The investment, according to Hunter, underlines Shell's strategic interest in digital transport solutions in urban areas.
