CASHWALK 2017: “Worthwhile for every startup”

Amadeo Gaigl from the startup Bohème called the event “the highlight of the startup scene in Munich – no distractions, great conversations and worthwhile for every startupAt the CASHWALK on March 7, 2017, a total of 50 teams had three minutes to present a problem, the solution, and their product.

For the third time, the German Accelerator and the LMU Entrepreneurship Center, supported by its partner Invest in Bavaria, invited fifty teams with brilliant ideas and 85 leading investors to the exclusive pitch event. The topics were wide-ranging and provided exciting inspiration for Lakestar, Coparion, Speedinvest, Cherry Ventures, and others.

In the weeks leading up to the event, the CASHWALK team, including Andy Goldstein (Director of LMU EC), Natalie Kho, and Florian Rickert (Startup Manager of LMU EC), reviewed nearly 200 applications and selected the startups with the most promising business models. Ultimately, only the best teams were allowed to enter the CASHWALK.

Looking for suitable investors

The startups have already developed validated products and services, acquired numerous pilot customers, and are now looking to CASHWALK for the right investor for scaling. For seed or Series A financing, the founders often need six- to seven-figure investment amounts.

The expert jury, including Rainer Maerkle (Holtzbrinck Ventures), Kristin Müller (High-Tech Gründerfonds), Thomas Meneder (ii invest), and Rolf Christof Dienst (Wellington Partners), posed critical and challenging questions and evaluated the pitches. At the awards ceremony, the six best teams received professional coaching sessions with the jury and investors from the LMU EC Förderkreis.

The winners are:
