Sherlock Who wins the IT Innovation Award 2017 at CeBIT

The Munich startup Sherlock Who is the winner of the INNOVATION AWARD-IT, which is awarded by the Initiative Mittelstand at this year's CeBIT was awarded on March 20. With its innovative supplier search engine sherlock-who.com, the company was able to convince the almost 100-member jury, consisting of professors, scientists, trade journalists, and IT industry experts, in the "Internet Service" category.

Among other things, the award's innovative content and benefits for medium-sized businesses were evaluated. More than 5,000 companies submitted their products for the award, which is presented in 38 categories.

"This award is a great honor for us. Several years of intensive development work and our heart and soul have gone into the company search engine. The team is correspondingly delighted,"

explained Björn Meschenmoser, Managing Director of Sherlock Who?! GmbH.

Sherlock Who offers on its website www.sherlock-who.com a new type of supplier search engine. The innovation lies in its specialized search technology, which extracts all relevant information from company websites and thus delivers accurate and meaningful search results. This makes it particularly easy for buyers and technicians to search for suppliers and service providers.

Comprehensive marketing package

The IT Innovation Award has been presented annually since 2004 by the Initiative Mittelstand (SME Initiative) to companies with particularly innovative solutions for small and medium-sized businesses. Companies of all sizes can apply in 38 categories. The evaluation takes into account innovative content (novelty, product maturity, and future orientation), benefits (perceivable benefits, impact on profitability, efficiency improvements), and suitability for small and medium-sized businesses (relevance for SMEs, practicality, implementation).

The winners receive a certificate, a signet, a trophy, and a comprehensive marketing package to effectively showcase their award. Sherlock Who?! GmbH, based in Munich, was founded in 2014 by its three founders, Björn Meschenmoser, Bernd Rudolf, and Horst Schuster. Their mission is to simplify the supplier search in the B2B sector.
