DvH Ventures invests in NDGIT

Together with other strategic partners, Dieter von Holtzbrinck Ventures a seven-figure sum in the Munich technology company NDGIT.

The venture capital fund, which was initiated jointly with NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank and specializes in FinTech and InsurTech investments, is thus investing for the first time in a provider of financial architectures for banking and insurance solutions, which, with its API platform, enables future digitalization and networking with online providers.

"API platforms are becoming the highway for the digitalization of banks and insurance companies. They help traditional financial providers and FinTechs connect with digital ecosystems. NDGIT not only offers individual functions as APIs, but also covers the entire spectrum of digital banking and insurance solutions with its API platform."

says Peter Richarz, Managing Director of DvH Ventures.

Stephan Tillack, IT Manager at NORD/LB:

"In corporate banking, bank IT is increasingly connecting with customers' systems and their value chains. NDGIT, through its new API platform, offers the ability to supply our customers' processes with information as needed by providing IT services, or, conversely, to precisely capture and process our customers' information. This opens up new opportunities for networking and collaboration."

Technological backbone for the digital challenges in the financial sector

NDGIT stands for Next Digital Banking and provides the first API platform for the needs of banks, insurance companies, and FinTechs. In numerous industries, including banking, APIs form the essential foundation for the development of digital applications. With NDGIT technology, banks can implement Open Banking and PSD2, proactively leverage digital ecosystems, and integrate the best specialized functions of FinTechs into their systems as APIs.

This includes the Next Banking API Marketplace, which makes it easier to use and more convenient to manage the services of top FinTechs. This is complemented by middleware technology that allows end-to-end digital processes and application backends to be developed with APIs – more efficiently and quickly than would be possible with conventional application development.

"I'm excited to shape our growth together with strategic VC partners and industry experts. With our API banking platform, we provide the technological backbone for the digital challenges in the financial sector. Banks and digital ecosystems can connect more easily, implement open banking APIs, and develop innovative applications faster with FinTech services."

says NDGIT CEO and Co-Founder Oliver Dlugosch.
