Since 2013, innovative startups in INVEST funding program for venture capital Funds of around 45 million euros were approved. This sum is supplemented by €180 million in investments from private venture capitalists. On average, these investors invest €77,000 in a startup. Compared to the previous year, the total amount of public funding increased by almost €20 million.

For private investors, it is advantageous to secure the INVEST subsidy, as this allows them to utilize the associated leverage of 20% per investment. Furthermore, the Conditions for INVEST funding have improved significantly since the beginning of the year. An exit grant can now also be applied for.

If there's a young company eligible for funding that doesn't yet have an investmentApplication it can do so at any time with the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA).
And then "eligible" startups can register via the free BAND online directory and thus draw investors' attention to their new ventures. There aren't actually too many Munich startups here yet, but that should change soon. After all, the Munich startup scene has many innovative startups to offer.
