If a social entrepreneur has simultaneously founded a company in the green economy, then he must almost Next Economy Award 2017 (NEA) Apply! We're looking for innovative business models for social and ecological improvements.
Tailwind for pioneers of the green economy
The 3rd Next Economy Award honors startups that focus on sustainability and the green economy. The goal is to support these startups and raise awareness of sustainability innovations "Made in Germany." Accordingly, the prize includes PR services and access to Germany's largest sustainability network.
What awaits the winner of the Next Economy Award 2017?
The winner will receive a package of communication and non-cash benefits worth approximately 25,000 euros. In addition to the PR services already mentioned, this also includes start-up coaching on marketing and financing topics, media training in front of TV cameras, and legal advice.
The application deadline is until 16 June 2017Startups founded in Germany within the last five years are invited to apply. Social entrepreneurs are particularly sought after.

- Resource conservation, nature conservation and biodiversity
- Health and prevention
- Clean energy, energy efficiency and smart lighting
- Digital transformation
- Mobility, transport and traffic
- Safe food and sustainable agriculture
- Education, equal opportunities and social cohesion
- Poverty reduction and development aid
The award is given by the German Sustainability Award Foundation in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the Council for Sustainable Development and the DIHK.
A Munich startup has also already been awarded
2016 was the year of the innovative packaging and mechanical engineering company Landpack also a Munich startup among the winnersThey received the award in the “Nature” category.
