A prize for Mark! The intelligent glove “Mark” of the Munich startups ProGlove Not only has it impressed industry partners with its functionality, but now it has also impressed the Red Dot Design Award's expert panel with its design. It has been awarded the Product Design 2017 seal of quality.
An intelligent glove that enables workers in production and logistics to work faster, more safely, and more ergonomically—with this vision, ProGlove is bringing wearables into the production and logistics environment. The Munich-based startup has now received the Red Dot Design Award 2017 for its first product, the "Mark" glove. Professor Dr. Peter Zec, initiator and CEO of the Red Dot Design Awards, says about this decision:
"The Red Dot winners are pursuing the right design strategy. They have recognized that good design and commercial success go hand in hand. The award from the critical Red Dot jury documents their high design quality and is a guiding principle for their successful design policy."
5,500 submissions from 54 nations
This is a significant award, and one that ProGlove can be proud of. The international design competition has been focusing on design and good design for over 60 years. This year, the approximately 40-member jury of independent designers, design professors, and trade journalists once again evaluated the submitted products for detailed solutions and design quality. This year's competition received a total of more than 5,500 submissions from 54 nations.
The Munich startup will then be able to receive the Red Dot Design Award in person at the “Red Dot Gala” in Essen on July 3, 2017.
