Deloitte is looking for the Technology Fast 50 again

This year, the management consultancy Deloitte is presenting the Technology Fast 50 Award for the 15th time. Applications are open until June 30th.

Companies from the hardware, software, communications, media, life sciences, and clean technology sectors can apply for the award until June 30th. The award is based on average percentage sales growth over the past four fiscal years. Applicants must have been in existence for at least four years, generate their sales through self-developed technology, and invest a significant portion of their revenue in research and development. Sales must have been at least €50,000 in 2013 and at least €1 million in 2016.

Deloitte also awards special prizes in several categories: Companies that have been on the market for at least two years and generated at least €25,000 in revenue in 2015 and at least €500,000 in 2016 are eligible to be recognized as "Rising Stars." The "Sustained Excellence Award" is aimed at companies that have established themselves in the market through long-term growth. The Special Innovation Award recognizes particularly innovative business models, products, or technologies. The winners will receive their awards at a gala dinner on November 8th at BMW Welt in Munich.

Dr. Andreas Gentner, Head of Technology, Media & Telecommunications at Deloitte, says:

"We are always looking for companies with a clear vision for the future that want to set standards in their technological fields. Past winners of the Fast 50 Award, such as Google and Tesla, have already demonstrated the great potential in this direction. We believe other young and hungry companies can take this step as well."

Good place for Munich startups

Since 2003, the management consultancy has been honoring young technology companies for their rapid growth and high degree of innovation. The award has so far been a boon for startups from the Bavarian capital: Last year The Munich-based company Onpage.org third place behind Nordwest-Box and Qoniac. The special Innovation Award went to current winner of the Munich Startup Award Cleverciti. The year before won Celonis first place in the Technology Fast 50 Awards.
