High-ranking visitor: Federal President Steinmeier meets Munich startups

As part of his tour of Bavaria, Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, accompanied by the Bavarian Minister-President, also met with three Munich-based startups. In addition to NavVis and ReActive Robotics, the startup Vectoflow, founded by Katharina Kreitz and Florian Wehner, also had the opportunity to briefly introduce themselves and their technology to the Federal President.

"We specialize in 3D printing tiny channels. This allows us to build the world's smallest multi-hole probes."

Using two demo components, Vectorflow-Founder Katharina Kreitz their innovative probes to none other than the incumbent Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. During a reception honoring social commitment in the All Saints Court Church of the Munich Residence, Steinmeier met, among many others, three Munich startups and Dr. Carsten Rudolph from BayStartUPSteinmeier was accompanied by his wife, Elke Büdenbender, and Bavarian Prime Minister Horst Seehofer. According to Kreitz, Mrs. Büdenbender, in particular, immediately understood the potential applications of these delicate and precise Vectoflow probes.

Great interest and many inquiries

In general, the politicians were very interested in the startups present. In addition to Vectoflow, Dr. Felix Reinshagen from NavVis  will present its innovative products and applications for centimeter-accurate mapping and indoor navigation. Alexander König from the Munich startup ReActive Robotics, which uses adaptive and intelligent medical robotics to help with early patient mobilization.

Katharina Kreitz is glad:

 "With all three startups, they asked questions until they completely understood and then continued to ask questions about how we would be supported in Bavaria."
