Is Jochen Schweizer selling to ProSieben?

Rumors are churning in Munich: Voucher guru Jochen Schweizer is reportedly considering selling his business. The interested party is said to be none other than Germany's largest broadcasting group, ProSiebenSat.1. Initial discussions have reportedly already taken place.

Although spokespeople, both from the former “The Lion’s Den” investor and from ProSiebenSat1, have made a statement to the manager magazine rejected, the paper, in its latest edition, says it cites corporate and financial circles.

Should Mydays be strengthened?

It is understandable that ProSiebenSat1 might be interested in Schweizer's voucher business: In 2013, the broadcasting group bought the second-largest experience provider, Mydays, and would gain significant advantages in the market through the rumored takeover.

Manager magazin further writes that Schweizer only intends to sell the "digital business" division, i.e., the voucher subsidiary Jochen Schweizer GmbH and its holdings. The adventure facilities surrounding the recently opened "Jochen Schweizer Arena" in Taufkirchen near Munich, however, are not for sale.
